Finally the time has arrived!
Yes people!!! We are the Higher level band. A student band from the beautiful island of St.Eustatius also known as the Golden Rock but too many as STATIA.
Our band started off in 2003 when a group of us decided that we also have the talent and what it takes to be a good band.
It was something new for many us, but by doing our best and a lot of hard work we made it through. Our first performance motivated us even more to continue, because we received many positive comments from the crowd.
Our band started off with 11 members where we carried the name `the REGULATERZ band`. But due to the fact that we had to further our studies abroad, our band split up. The majority went to Curacao and Holland.
It was difficult and complicated to work like that, so we came to the decision to form our own band here in Holland. With our strong leader Charles Gumbs aka Bubby he made it possible for us to have a band again. That's when we got our 3 new members: Richenelle (boys lead singer), Rurike (drummer) and jermaine(bassman). And then there's us, the old members: Charles (box man), Suzette (back up singer)perlion (back up singer), Cardo (dancehall,reggae singer), Charmaine (girls lead singer).
We all enjoy working as a band, and the communication is real GOOD. Our members are full off talent and unique in there own way. We enjoy practising and writing our own music, and we are really looking forward to performing for this years summer festival. For it will be the first year for "HIGHER LEVEL BAND". As in other words WE JUST CANT WAIT!!!!
Due to the fact we write and record our own music, we are working on making our first CD for this year summer fest.
