Jam Boyzz started back in 1996 with a group of high school students ( Cheo on Bass Juni on drums, Kembo on Key Boards and Fernando and Drum machines and Vocals. Hitting the streets of Statia during the Carnival Parade that year, these youngsters received overwhelming support from the crowd which helped to boost the courage of the band.
In 1997 Jam Boyzz entered the studio for the first time recording tracks like "She is a FUBU Girl" and "Dance Fe". That same year the band acquired their own sound system and took the road by storm coming out on top as Band of the Year.
In 1999 Jam Boyzz revolutionized their music style which they felt was becoming too common for their fans that were looking for something new.
The band's composition changed somewhat over the past years as most of the founding members left the shores of Statia to further their studies elsewhere. Kembo and Juni departed to Aruba where they gained much exposure and experience playing with bands like NBO, Chups, Mack 10 and BMW.
Because there are so many natural musically inclined youngsters in Statia it was never too difficult to find replacement. The group has been privileged to enjoy the talents of members such as Rosendo Kingsale(Guitar), Sjahaira Fleming (Female vocals), Sastri Rivers (Drums) and Maldwyn Timber(Bass), Thaddeus Woodley (Male vocals)
In 2006 Jamm Boyzz Band decided it was time to conquer the Road March scene. The band entered the competition with Sjahaira Fleming a.k.a Lady Shortey with How do we do it, Thaddeus Woodley a.k.a T-Time with Hennessey , Fernando Simmons a.k.a Mr. Bouyon with Rags in the Air. Jamm Boyzz for the first time captured the win with the hit Road March " Rags in the Air" by Bouyon.
Jamm Boyzz, which currently have members in Curacao, Texas and the Netherlands, are all geared up for Summer Fest 2007
